Open letter to my online friends (november 8th 2021)

I've been drawing online for a very long time and on different websites. When I strarted I was a total edgelord with a stupid sense of humour. I used to think that everything that's offensive was super funny. I don't know why, maybe that was common back then. Now I'm an adult and I like to think I have grown as a person.

Anyway I'm still proud of some of my drawings so I prefer not to delete them. I never turned this into a career and it's still just a dear hobby of mine. I didn't have many friends growing up so that's why these online communities were super important to me. For many years, the only people that talked to me were online, I had no-one else. If you were my online friend back in 2002-2011 (A long time estimate, I know!) then you probably saved my life. I had so much fun with you guys and it was so great that we all made art together and kept each other company. There's not enough money in the world that I could give you to express my gratitude.

And whoever thinks that we're just stupid art nerds wasting our time online or society's rejects or something, is an idiot. Maybe society in real life rejected me and treated me like shit, but online communities saved me.

And it blows my mind thinking that all of you are now adults, maybe have careers, families etc. and this whole online art thing was just a phase in our silly little lives! Now that's crazy!
